Unhappy

I am very unhappy right now. I was planning on getting a new stereo in my 1991 corolla. I bought 4 speakers and an Alpine deck. I went to have it all installed and the guy said that there is no way that I could have rear speakers. I guess there are a couple bars that run across the top of the trunk right where the speakers would have to go that support the trunk. He said that they couldnt be removed or just moved to a different area. I dont really want to buy those ugly boxes that go in the back window to fit speakers. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I could possibly do to have rear speakers?

The guy said my doors arent thick enough and the speakers would scratch my windows. I dont want anything that is going to be visible from the back window. I looked closely at the bars and they are attached to the trunk door and pivot when it opens and closes. I was wondering if they were even needed or could be moved somehow.

It's only needed if you want to open your trunk.

Screw the rear speakers get an awesome set of components for the front. A 4 channel amp . And put a sub in the trunk and run it off the other two channels bridged. Very simple but effective setup.

Can i just remove the two small bars and cut holes in the rear deck to add speakers? I am planning on getting a sub and amp around christmas but would like something good until then.

You can but if you get in an accident, say good-bye cruel world. Sound should always come from in front of you, not behind, unless you have a THX system. do you go to a concert and face the back.

why should me removing the two small bars have any affect on me getting onto an accident? All they do is hold the trunk open. I want speakers in the back because I think it would sound better than with just a 4" in the front. Is there any kind of bracket I could build or just get some kind of hydrolic to open my trunk?
