install dbl din deck in USA 95 Corolla dx

I was wondering if anyone has links to or experiance in installing a double in deck in a 93-97 toyota corolla. I would be installing it in place of the large storage compartment above the cup holder in the center console in the dash. I may have to remove the 1/4 din? cup holder to do this. I have only found one person who installed a single din deck into that area. Thanks for any help. I have a pioneer fh-p404 deck.

I dont have any pics, or links at this point, but i did it my self.

Did a pioneer Double din in place of the big bucket slot behind the cups.

If you have a manual it shows how to take apart all of the center console.

Then Take out the bucket, and the cup holder, the cupholder can actually be put up in the single din slot with the proper half din spacer, or I ended up finding a nice smaller slot a 1 din that fit perfect in the place of the stock deck.

the wires have to be run very carefully to avoid interuption of the heat/ac controls

I sold the deck and went back to a single din, but i think i may do a DVD double din.

let me know if you have other questions, if you can get an ultra flush mount deck, on e that is mainly screen, and also having a remote will really help!

You will love it, Plus I think it makes it less visible to prowlers, I made a black cover that made it look like nothing was there.
