Kicker L5S12 vs. L7S10...

Right now i am running a kicker cvr 12, it is loud and clear, great bass, but i want more so i am thinking of upgrading...

I know i want to run the kicker 600.1 amp since i have a pretty good deal on one, but i am trying to decide between the L5S12 and the L7S10, since both are rated @ 600 watts RMS handling (perfect for the amp) and both are relatively similar in price... anybody have any suggestions as to why i should pick one or the other? Anybody dealt with both?

I am pretty heart set on one of these 2 subs, so i do not really want suggestions on any other types- and i know i only want to run one with a lot of power as opposed to 2, thus i can save some space, thanks for any advice

The 10" L7 will work in smaller enclosure (obviously) compared to the 12" L5. Aside from material construction, there aren't any stand-out differences.

BTW, is Champaign Audio or Good Vibes still there?

Champaign Audio used to be off Neil St, just north of Green St, south of Champaign Surplus, Good Vibes is off Neil St also, but further south of Green St.

I have a pair of 2004 10" L7's on a jbl 1200.1. They pound in small custom 1cf. boxes.
One 10" L7 should sound great on 600w I like the 10 L7 better than the 12" L5. The L7 is going to hit a lot harder.

Your question has been asked 3,000 times. They really like 1.75cf. ported 10" L7's. They pound. If you can't afford that amount of space, a 1.25cf box is good for a 10" sub.

If space is an issue at all, a 1cf sealed box is nice .75cf sealed box isn't bad sounding as long as it's built sturdy.
