Compustar

I just got a new Compustar 2W900 alarm system with remote star installed on my 2005 Corolla XRS, this thing rock!... Amazing range, work well with manual.... I need to go back to the shop for some adjustement and install a electric trunk opener.

One question, the installer say it's not possible to control the sunroof as toyota use some kind of computer to control. Anybody had the sunroof controlled by alarm system?

As long as there is button to open/close the sunroof, you can control it. Usually ECU will cut power to all power windows after car is shut off. That's what I gonna do with my Celica.

Yea, just connect the relay to the switch instead of the brain. That's how I did my power lock to alarm, direct to the switch wire.

I'm not sure about a sunroof.

But for power windows you need a seperate module (window roll up/down module).

Yes, the module set how long the open/close switch will be activated. Alarm usually only output a short pulse which is good for door lock/unlock. You'll need to hold the window switch for a few second to get it open/close.
The compustar can hold the pulse to 2 sec. If you use one button to open, one to close, you don't need a module. Same to window. You'll need the module if you want to open and close with one button.
