What the hell is a capacitator?

It sounds like something you use at a hospital.

A high farad cap is useful after you've upgraded your battery/alt and wiring and still receive some issues. If you're asking this question, you don't need one.

If your lights dim when your subwoofer makes a hard hit, then your amp is drawing too much power from your alt/battery. A cap stays charged so when the amp needs a ton of pwoer really quick, it draws it from the cap.

I was kind of asking for everyone's opinion, because different users have different opinions all the time here.

Cool

Never. Upgrade the big three wires with leftover amp wire.

It's not only a FREE electrical mod, but unlike a cap, it'll actually help a diming problem! If you still have any diming left, it's time for an alt upgrade.
