Factory radio question - '96

I have a '96 Camry with the factory AM/FM/Casette radio in it. The light that illuminates the radio station doesn't work. Two questions.... Can that light be replaced, and are there any tricks to getting the radio out of the dash. Any/all replies are appreciated.

I don't know if you can replace the light, but to get the radio out you need to pop off the plastic part that runs around the radio and cassette player. It also holds the cigarette lighter. I just used a knife or a flat head screwdriver and gave a gentle pry along the outside passenger edge to get it to pop out, and was able to pop the rest of the peice off. I don't remember, but you may need to disconnect the cigarette lighter to remove it completely. I hope this helps, good luck.

The LCD display of the radio can NOT be removed easily. You will need to desolder all the contacts on there and replace it. It's not a LED with a green cover over it.
