Quality of Audio using FM Modulator

I am looking at buying an '05 XLE and install an aftermarket DVD player. It appears the only way to get audio through the car speakers is using FM Modulator.

How is the quality of the audio using FM Modulator? I would appreciate if anyone using an FM Modulator based audio can share their experience.

its not bad at all - it's supposedly less than CD quality, but I listen to XM through an FM Modulator whenever I'm at work, and i cant notice any loss in sound quality. And I used to work with sound systems too, so I have a decent ear. In my experience, its not bad.

Is it worth not having to burn CD's?
