bridging both subs

I'm a eletrically/technically challenged so bear with me. I have two 4 ohm subs one going into the left and the other into the right channel. To bridge both in parallel, would I just do it exactly as if I was bridging a single sub?? I mean both subs connected to the same terminals? Also, would this increase my sound output?

You would wire both subs in series or parallel, then bridge the amp.

Series = 8 ohms.

Parallel = 2 ohms.

Most amps use the left positive and right negative terminals when operating in bridged mode. Check your amp and instruction manual to see which terminals to use.

Also make sure your amp will handle 2 ohm mono.

will two subs bridged in parallel sound louder than two unbridged?

^ Yes.

The amp will put out more power when running in bridged mode.

Just make sure your amp will handle whatever load your running. In your case, its 2 ohm mono.

Which amp do you have?

^ I don't see anything about it being able to run at 2 ohm mono.

You could try it, but the amp will probably run hot and shutoff on you. You'd also risk damaging the amp.

it says this

"the DC 400 (Max power: 200 watts x 2; RMS power into 4 ohms: 100 watts x 2; RMS power into 2 ohms: 1300 watts x 2; Bridged power into 4 ohms: 300 watts; $169 SRP), "

it says it runs at 2 ohms...but I don't know if it does when bridged
