'03 4Runner; how is H/U removed?

I recently installed a Scion CD/MP3 HU in my '02 MR2. The wife drives a '03 4Runner, and was really taken with my new radio. I was able to determine that the Scion rig will also fit in the 4Runner, so I picked one up off eBay for her.

Only problem is, I have googled and searched, and searched and googled, and can't find squat that tells me how to get the factory HU out. Once that's done, putting in the Scion HU should be no problem (I hope!). But I don't know where to start on getting the old one out, especially without BREAKING anything.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

Have you figured out how to remove the radio? I just bought a new '03 4Runner (yes, new) and it comes with a am/fm/tape/cd player. Why the hell do they still put a tape deck in???

Anyway, I want to replace this with a 6 CD-Changer. First though, I need to figure out how to remove this thing.

the plastic bezzle piece around the radio is held in with mostly clips, if you get on your knees on the passenger side and look up at the bezzle, you should see 2 screws holding in the piece, remove the ashtray and double check that there is no retaining screw there, i dont beleive so. Teh new Toyota clips are quite strong, but unfortunatly fragile, you are going to need to tug a little bit on the bezzle. But apply even pressure when pulling (both sides at the same time). Thats it nothing tooo mystical. I tried to get an exploded view for you, but unavailble at this time because im not at my store. Good luck
