how long does it take a amp to get off of proctection mode?

well depends on whats making it go into protection mode. if you have your subs hooked up at too low of an impedence it will most likely go into protection mode right away... if its overheating it will just wait till it drops below a certain temperature... I think the main problem you need to find out is what is causing the amp to go into protect mode.

i was trying to run 4ohms bridge onto 2 dual 4 ohm subs i followed a diagram that showed me how to wire it up but as soon as i turn on my sustem the amp just shut down

the amp i have is the kenwood kac-7201 would this amp go into protection or am i screwed and i have to toss it?

so let me get this right, you have a 2 channel amp and your are trying to hook up two subs that are dual 4 ohm each? If that is the case, you wire it wrong, because you should have no problem with this config.

everything is cool now i blew a fuse the fuse i blew was a 50 amp fuse i cant find it anywherre so i replaced it with a 60 amp is this ok?
