finding the closest battery access

I am looking for the easiest way to connect my amp to the positive wire of my battery... or do i have to run a wire all the way to the battery? I have a gen3 camry and the subs are 300 watt.

The only proper way to run an amp is to run a power wire from the amp to the battery DIRECTLY.

This is beacuse the fuse ratings and wire guages are not usually up to the task of running hi powered amps.

So, for 300w system power, you would simply run 8GA power wire to the battery by removing trims and panels to make it neat. Thru the firewall, and then to a FUSE. You MUST run a fuse close to the battery as this will protect your amp and your car in the event there is a short. Then just connect the power wire to the battery with an eyelit connector or something.

The earth can be located anywhere close to the amp, screwed or bolted to a metal part of the car. I chose the seatbelt bolts.

If you plan to run high powered amps in the future, or 2 or 3 amps, i would run 4GA wire and use a distribution block to seperate it into 2 or 3 8GA wires, depending on how many amps you have.

Anymore questions...just ask.
Thanx.

^ In line fuse holder with a AGU type fuse.

Or a circuit breaker.

^ No.

Look at the first link I posted above.

The fuse you use depends on the fuse holder (agu or anl).

no need to use an ANL fuse holder on anything less than 100 amperes, use an AGU, they're the most common anyway
