Help with rear speakers for 87 corolla

Hi i was trying to install a system in my girlfriends car today and i got the head unit and front speakers in ok but im stumped with the back speakers

It seems that the springs for the boot ...well they are more like two rods which run along under the shelf.. are in the way. What are my options for putting some 6 X 9" speakers in there.. I would like to keep it neat dont want it to look too tacky

When I had my 87 SR5 I took the rear deck off and made a new one with some 3/4 pine. and covered it with carpet. I used 6.5 round speakers though instead of 6X9's. That raised the speakers up enough to the clear the rear trunk lid springs. U might do the same.
