Crackling 6x9

My rear left Boston Acoustics 6x9 slightly pops sometimes or makes white noise. I figured its gonna die soon and im pretty sure its not the wiring. Just wanted some thoughts/input of what you think could be causing the problem

crackling.... sounds like a short or a loose wire. but if you already checked those i would swap the plugs on the speaker and see if the other does it... if it does it wiring/HU if not its your speaker

most like overstretched the voice coil, speaker is bad.

i guess it must be the speaker, dammit, i dont feel like shelling out another hundred bones for new 6x9s. it hasnt done it in a few days though *crosses fingers

if you can check the tinsels they might have a short then, does it only do it at high volume?
