1997 camry radio install

I put in a Kenwood reciever today. After I put the console panel back, I cant put the trim ring around the radio. Without the trim ring, the headunit sticks out, and it's unsightly. How do I make the trim ring fit, or how do I recess the HU to be flush w/the pocket?
Thanx
Jae

With my alpine, it still sticks out. you might have to make some custom brackets to mount it flush, or even fiberglass it to make it flush. Fiberglass would be cool, but i dont have any experience.

You can recess the radio by drilling new mounting holes on the brackets. Then grind the trim ring down thin enough so that it will fit nicely, making sure you don't overgrind.
