Question about fuse

I got "Scosche 1400 Watts Max Amp Wiring Kit (700W rms)" from walmart for my basslink 200W. ($ 24.64)

It has : MAXI in-line fuse holder with 100 amp fuse.

basslink user manual require 20A fuse for power wire.

My question: Is it ok to use 100 amp fuse? (Then I don't need to buy a 20A fuse). Basslink has its own 20A fuse.

Thanks,

What is 200W/14.4V? Then give yourself an extra 20%, and would be the adequate current draw for the Basslink. Just because you can put a 100-amp fuse in there doesn't mean you need to have it. Get one that's appropriate for the application.

put in a 30 amp fuse if this is the only amp you have, and why in the hell this you buy such a big wiring kit, an 8awg kit would be suffice.

I remember asking them at Circuit City this question. They said to use a fuse on the power wire equal to the fuse or fuses in the amp itself. For instance, my MTX 421D has 2 20-amp fuses in it, so there's a 40A fuse on my power wire.

Because it has everything I need except a big fuse , other small one only has one RCAs cables.

4-8 ga. power distribution block
MAXI in-line fuse holder with 100 amp fuse
14 ft.,5 ga power cable
6 ft., 9 ga. power cable
4 ft., 9 ga. ground cable
17 ft. blue remote wire
Two 17 ft. clear audio cables
platinum finish connectors
All necessary hardware

I will go to get smaller fuse for it.

Thanks,

bigger wires also mean you can draw more power if needed. Helps when you dont want to buy a Cap. The 100A fuse should work fine.
