LED testting?

hello, i just destroyed a damaged wing led light bar out of a 92 celica gt...and am attempting to test it to see if it works.....i remain unsure as to how to test this (im assuming) low voltage led bar

any ideas?

If the LED is physically burned out, then there's no hope of reviving it, since it's a diode that has gone into reverse bias mode. Typically, LED for cars all run at 12V, so having a lower voltage source may not help.

would touching the leads directly to the battery short it out?
