Amp near the subs

so i can get a free 8" sub from my nighbor so i was thinking maybe i would put the sub in the middle of the 2 back speakers. and i was wondering how close i could put an amp to the sub since the magnet can o harm to the amp ( i guess). i just need an idea of where to place the amp so you really cant see it ... i'm going to the sleeper sound here.

also i'm looking for the magazine for the 3 disk indash cd changer.

I've never heard that the amp could harm the amp, most audio systems I've seen have the amp and the subs pretty close together.

You know, if you just mount it like the OEM speakers are, it's going to sound like crap....

The amp and the speaker could be mounted side by side. The magnetical field will not affect the sound or amp at all. Hell, you could glue the amp to the magnet of the speaker - but I don't think you win too many competitions with it like that.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but you aren't going to notice any sound if you don't have the sub mounted in an enclosure.

What type of sub is it? It may not even be worth using.
