radio wiring harness

I went to replace the aftermarket cd player that was in my car because its crap. When I took the radio out I dicovered that they had spliced in the radio harness directly to the the oringal radio harness. So I am unable to hook up the new radio. They left the old harness connected to 2 wires handing by two wires. They clip the wires to close to the connector to reconnect it. Would I be able to get a new/used harness and splice it in. If so how hard would it be to do? I hope this thread makes sense. I have a 98 camry

Yes, if you can find the original plugs, you can solder it back. But it will be a pretty tough job since the wires have been cut short.

Go to a junkyard and rip out that old harness. It runs down to the fuseholder by the clutch pedal.
