need help with amp!!

hi, i have a sony xplod amp and when i hook it up it worked good, i then put it in my friends car and voice was coming out from the sub so we put it back in my car. when i hooked up back to my car the amp turns on but there is no sound coming through it, i double check the bridging and the rca cables but stil no sound. any ideas? thanks

check your subs? try your friend's subs again with the amp to make sure that its not the amp

you need to set your crossover properly on the hu, and if the hu has a sub preout use that.

thnx for the help..ill give a try 2m. just to let u know, my hu have 2 output and 1 input. a rear output and front output. i plugged the cable to the rear output which goes to the rear input of my amp.

If you cant set the crossover setting on your HU then you must do it on the amp, there should be a switch for low pass filter, make sure it on and set to around 80Hz

doesnt work..i dunt know wut the model of my sony xplod amp is but it has a built-in equalizer. i think it has something to do with the inputs because tere should be lights scrolling left and right on the equalizer if there is sound going through

How can you not know the model of the Sony amp? Has the manufacturer tag been ripped off from under the amp? Did you flip the amp over and check? A bit of your own detective work will let others help you, and not guess about every possibility.
