Need fast help for choosing 6x9's

I need help choosing 6x9's and i dont knwo where to start. I need speakers that have great bass but not as much treble because i have components up front. My friend always recommends infinity but i dont like the screechy highs they put out. any help?

Since you know what you don't like, you should just go and listen to all the different sets, irregardless of brand and price. Let your ears decide. There are lots of manufacturers out there, but no one can decide for you.

I just put some Infinity Kappa 6x9's in. (model 692.5i)
I am currently running them through a low pass - they can handle bass for sure. I also ran them full range for shits and giggles and they sound really nice. The highs are clear, not screechy. If you are still worried about that just do what I did and go with the 2 way, not the 3 way 693's.

We used to rock Pioneer's back in the 80's. Four 6x9's, Dr. Dre's Five o'clock Traffic Jam and a bucket of Churches Chicken and we was set. Man, those were the days.

I never understood the reasoning behind 6x9s, perhaps they are the next closest thing to subs without spending money on subs, yet getting some "bass" output. They're oval-shaped, not good for sound waves, which travel more uniformly as circular waves.

Back when I had my 89 Buick LeSabre with the AC Delco stereo, I had 4x6 plates in the front and 6x9 in the back window; people thought I had subs because they rattled the trunk!!! 6x9's, to me, are an excellent speaker: plenty of base and the ability to produce nice, crisp highs.

Infinitys man! Even the reference series speakers are excellent. I like the mid and highs though!

Infinity's please, if you have to have some rear fill get some 2 ways dont spend a whole lot of cash on them. Maybe some pioneers, or DLS (you knew that was coming huh?)

why dont u try out some DHD's i have them in my lexus and they are 800 watts a piece. They have awesome bass. i am very pleased with them. if u want to look at them then go to millionbuy.com. they say that the speakers are 800w per pair but trust me there 800 a piece.

No offense but DHD is crap I'm sorry, the speakers probably can't handle 80 watts rms.
