Question designing a truck box

with the winter months here and every other day is really wet out, i can no longer leave important stuff in the bed of my truck because my backseat is taken up by my subwoofer box. i need to design a truck box really thin, short but it can be long (span across the width of the inside). does anyone know of a cheap and easy way to design this box as accuratly as possible?

You could buy one. Q-Logic makes one thats about 4.5" deep at the top and 6.5" deep at the botton. It accomodates a 10" sub and is a little wide maybe 2 feet,

NEVER BUY PREFAB BOXES, unless you want your sub to sound like crap of course. Give me the model of the sub or subs your using, and max width, I can give you a rough estimate. If you have the displacment of the sub, then I can give you a pretty accurate enclosure size.

they are sony xplod 12" woofers XS-L1237 the cut out being 10 7/8" in dia , sub is 5 3/4" deep (front) -> 11 3/4 wide and 12 3/4" tall um 1,100 watt max, 4 ohm
2 small boxes of the same size would be nice but if one long box would be easier then i can work with that.

if the idq is not a resonable option, I would suggest you attempt to build vertical rather than horizontal. is this a regular cab or extendend cab truck. I have seen two twelves stacked, firing across the cabin behind the pass seat in an extended cab tacoma that sounded really nice.
