I found my old Cobra detector

I was looking through some of my old stuff from about 10 years ago and found the radar detector that I used to have in my old car. It is probably 15 years old. It is a Cobra Trapshooter RD-3110. It is in great shape.

Is this thing even worth hooking up? I am about to drive from Alabama to Texas for Christmas and it would be nice to have a detector. I was wondering if todays Police radar would even register on this old unit. I know that there are a lot of different bands. I would also have to buy a new cord because I can't find my old one.

Thanks for your help

Cool

I can't tell you about the detector, but I'll tell you to be reaaaaal careful in Jefforson County on the interstates. Actually... Any interstate within 30 miles of downtown B'ham. Popo's will bitch slap you hard and fast.

You'll fucking love the new interstate I-65, north of town, on to I-20/59 to Tuscaloosa. It's all brand new, Including Malfunction Junction!!! (Second time a flammable truck has crashed and destroyed aprt of it in the last 3 years and to as fast as you wanna drive! The new 3 lane highway is pretty wild. It's definatly wild if you wanna test your car's handling @ 130mph.+

Just be real careful. Damned Popo's... Save the speeding till you get past Tuscaloosa.

Thanks man, I appreciate the heads up. I just about always find some good "front doors" when I make the trip to Texas. I remember last time I drove it, I found out that the cruise control wouldn't work above 90mph on the 98 SE Altima that I had at the time . I was getting in with some fast driving mofos. Sure made some good time.
