Battery In Trunk

OK...I want to put a Yellowtop optima battery in my trunk for my new system. I have 4 12's and 2 1500 watt amps. (All Rockford Fosgate). What can i do to recharge the battery so to speak.?? Portable batterycharger work??

you hook it up in parrellel with your other battery that is connected to the alternator

correct, make sure you get a relay, so the two batteries dont drain each other out.

Look for something called a battery isolator, which is basically a high-current relay.
