Locking at startup

I've noticed on other vehicles that when you start the car it automatically locks itself but my 2004 corolla doesn't do it. I found a site that said it had the instructions to program it but it didn't work. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have an automatic corolla it is supposed to lock when you put it in drive. If you have a manual corolla no such feature.

I do have an automatic but it doesn't lock when I put it in drive. The dealership says there is no way to do it but I think they're just a bunch of lazy bums
