Best Remote Starter w/good range for Toyota?

I have a 2004 Sienna XLE, and would like to install a remote starter (& alarm if only available in a combo unit). I see a lot of these remote starter/alarms with 2-way communication, FM vs. AM transmission, etc. And then I need to determine who can interface well with the Toyota factory wiring & security on the XLE model. My dealer told me that I would need to buy an alarm bypass module & use the valet key for the Toyota Factory security bypass. Any advice? Thanks.

If you want a remote start in your sienna you are going to have to give up a key. In order for your ECU to let the engine start it needs the transponder key in the system. If you hook up a remote start you effectively bypass the pretty useful and secure transponder system. As for actual brands I would go with DEI and their Viper brand. Another thing that may affect you is if you lease your sienna. You would be hacking up all kinds of wiring if you install a remote start and when you turn it in when the lease is up they may hit you with all kinds of fees, like a new wiring harness. Its probably cold up there in MN but personally I don't think remote starts are worth it.

For what it's worth, my Clifford has a module that was programmed with the transponder key information, and is activated when the remote start is activated.

I love my compustar alarm/starter combo

www.compustar.org

you can go anywhere from 1500 ft of range to 6000 ft of range, one way or two way.....and they can use a modual instead of a spare key.

also you can make the aux outputs do whatever you want.....for example, on my 4runner i have it so it will roll down or up my rear window, and on my camry i have it so one button will turn on my lights, and the other button will turn on my underbody kit..

compustar is far the best ive seen but they cost the most(LCD, 2way). 04 sienna, they dont have a bypass available right now that dont use a spare key.

99-03 sienna be able to use 555U (spare key require) or 555F (no spare key require to give up)
