MTX>Audiobahn but there's a lot better subs out there. MTX makes pretty solid amps but they're a little pricey. Audiobahn is good if you're Latino and love shiney things.

I resent that, I'm latino and I dont have chrome anything, except for my chain steering wheel. Dang it you made me spill my latte in my range rover all over my ralph lauren shirt

Well I ended up purchasing the 2 12" infinity 1230. They sounded much cleaner than the audiobahn and sounded just as good as the mtx. And I paid 80 for both. I think I got a good deal, we'll see next week when I get a ported box and amp
Just as a gut reaction, I'd say those Infinity's should be sealed. That's all I've ever seen them in. I did get to test out boxed Infinity's, MB Quarts and JL's in my car. The JL won convincingly, the Infinity second and the Quarts last. The Infinity lacked balls against the JL but if it had it, I might have taken it instead.
For some reason, the Infinitys need at least their RMS power to play loud. They're a bit more power hungry than any of the other brands listed on this page but with proper power they're pretty amazing. JLs probably are better, but they'll cost a bit more too.

good choice - i would have recommended the MTX over the audiobahn, although i agree there are better subs out there. Those infinity's sound really good - i have the Kappy Perfect subs (the ones u have are the reference series). about the same as far as power goes, and infinity definitely has a clean sound in my opinion. what kind of amp are you using to push them?

agreed. Infinity recommends a sealed enclosure for that subwoofer, and i think you'll be happier with the accuracy of the sound with sealed instead of ported

Getting the mono amp next weekend. I wanna go all infinity, but the CC guy keeps telling me to get the MTX Mono-Channel Amplifier (MXA6001)
•300 watts RMS at 4 ohms
•Mono-channel •Low pass filter
•Speaker level
$359.99 bridged at 2ohms 600 watts rms? anyone help me out here? http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/MTX-M...oductDetail.do
At first I wanted to get this Infinity Mono-Channel Amplifier (610A)
•456 watts RMS at 4 ohms
•Mono subwoofer amplifier •Low-pass filter
•RCA connections
$299.99http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Infin...oductDetail.do
I could probably get away with this one though
MTX Mono Subwoofer Amplifier (MXA4001)
MTX MXA4001 • 200 watts RMS at 4 ohms
• Mono subwoofer amplifier • Low-pass filter
• Speaker level inputs
$269.99 It says bridged at 2 ohms I get 400 watts, I'm guessing thats rms? http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/MTX-M...oductDetail.do
Anywayz, suggestions out of those three would be greatly appreciated. My 12's are 300rms 1200peak,
