Good 4" speakers?

Ok. Yes I'm a big dumbass. I took off my high pass filter (which was set to 100hz) cause tech support told me it was okay to at moderate volume and blew one of my Infinity Kappa 42.5i's in the front. So, I need new 4" speakers because one of them sounds like shit now.

I have Kappa 63.5i's in the back, so I'm thinking of getting 42.5i's again for the front. Plus I have all the wiring set up for them (they have external crossovers).

Then again. The 42.5i's had a min frequency of 75Hz, and I think I blew them because when the high pass filter was turned off, the frequency went to low.

I'm considering getting these Kenwoods as they have lower frequency range (all the way down to 45Hz) so maybe with them I can keep my high pass filter off. (can I?)

Also I'm considering getting these Kickers for the same reason.

Also, both the Kenwoods and Kickers have lower RMS than the Infinitys, so maybe that would go better with my system, since I am running only off 22x4 RMS (50x4 max) headunit power.

Would you take the Inifintys, Kickers, or the Kenwoods??

I would really want to get the Infinitys, as I'd only have to change one speaker and the crossovers for them are already wired, but if the other speakers are better sounding/more reliable, I will get them.

What else can you guys recommend? ($60 or lower on ebay)

note: I know I won't get bass out of 4" speakers, but the reason I want lower frequency rating is so they won't blow if I take my high pass filter off. I would like to take it off to get more bass in the back from the 63.5i's.

Actually, I'll probably just get the 42.5i's again and keep that damn filter on or get bass blockers.

Would the external crossovers be messed up since I blew my speaker, or should I use the old crossover and just change the speaker?

Are you sure you can't fit bigger speaker? The only good 4" i can rec. would be part of a 3 way component system where the 4" is the midrange. You should step up to a system like that and use a 7" midbass in a kickpod

Didn't you just buy those speakers? Are you returning them?

What kind of external crossover do you have? Or are you running the speakers off the headunit?

I would just run bass blockers to the front if you want to be able to turn up the rear 6x9's.

A) No, I can't fit more than 4" as it would require custom mounts, and maybe cutting through metal.

B) Yeah, I just bought the speakers, but I bought them off ebay, plus the fact that I blew the tweeter was my fault completely. I knew what I was doing.

C) The external crossover is the one that comes with the speakers. All Infinity Kappas come with an external crossover. It's really simple. The two wires go into the crossover from the car, and out come 4 wires. Two for the tweeter, two for the woofer.

D) I was thinking of doing bass blockers but the only thing is that there could be power loss due to DC resistance of the filter. So I dunno if I should be concerned with that.

Anyway, thanks for the input, but I already bought a new pair of 42.5i's (the same ones I had) off ebay. This time I won't be a dumbass and I'll keep my high pass on on the headunit.
