05 Camry Dashkit... choosing which one?

We installed a headunit in our 05 Camry yesterday using what I suppose is the standard dashkit. Not sure who makes it...

We used the trimring with the kit because the headunit trimring would not snap in place properly.

The problem is that it doesn't fit flush with the dash. It has about 1/16" lip around the bottom side of the kit.

I know there is another dashkit made by Scosche...

Anyone tried either kit with one being better than the other?

Thanks!

It's 02 for sure. 05's are rounder.

We were able to drill the holes out a little larger for the bottom mounts so that when we pressed on the bottom it would allow the mount to slide down a tad... while holding it flush against the dash, tighten down the mount good. I probably need a pic to describe what I'm trying to say.

This only works with the mount in the top picture. Those two tabs on the bottom... the holes where the screw fastens to the dash need to be higher up on the tab. If you press on the bottom part of the mount to get it flush, you will see that the holes for the screws do not line up.

Sound Domain shows that bottom picture as the kit for the 04 and 05. It will probably fit 02-05.
