Peel n Seal

I just purchased some rolls from Lowe's. The only kind they had was the 6" by 25 ft. Anyways I layered the trunk lid and it has stopped rattling considerably, but my problem area is the trunk around the brake lights and license plate. It still rattles loudly. Am I going to have to take apart that area and apply the peel n seel inside? I will post pictures later today so you can see what exactly I'm talkin about.

You have to remove the trunk lining.

As for the license plate. Remove it, lay down a few strips of that peel n seal, then screw the license plate back on. The peel n seal will fill in the gap between the license plate and car.

Its the part of the light that is connected to the trunk lid. You know when the trunk raises up? Right around the license plate area. There is no trunk lining there, its just metal and the wires running through. Maybe I should get some sort of filler foam? Oh and yea I've taken care of the license plate rattle itself.

My mistake. I thought you were talking about the lights in the trunk.

Apply the peel n seal directly to the metal.

Maybe unbolt the lights from the trunk lid, if it makes it easier.
