What size headunit goes in a 9th gen (03 and up) Corolla?

Hey guys! Long time reader, first time poster!

I can't seem to find the answer to this Q... Can anyone help me out?

At first glance it looks like it's a 2 din, but the more I look at it, the more it seems like it's one of those 1.5 din slots.

Even if it is a double din, do you guys think installing a normal double din deck (like the Kenwood non-flip monitor) would look good given the Corolla's curved panel and the straight edge that any double din deck would have?

meliketoyota: I hit crutchfield.com and there's a link on the side that says "What Fits My Car?" - is that what you're talking about? Cuz that doesn't tell you what size your car's slot is, but rather which of their merchandise would fit. And when I punched in the info for the Corolla, all the head units seem to be the standard din size.

killercocopuff: Could you point me to the diy? Maybe a link online? Thanks in advance!
