yes and no, it depends on the deck, some of them have a remote control input and if it does then you can usually buy some type of interface module for this.

i c.. so if this deck had the remonte control input, and i buy that interface module, i would just basically be connecting wires which means i could then be able to use the audio steering wheel controls, correct?

It's possible as long as you have the wireless remote to the aftermarket radio. There is a device called the SWIX that can tap into the resistance wire(s) in the steering column for the audio controls, then feed it back to a module that you have to program, and feed it through a IR transmitter that you mount in the line-of-sight so the headunit's IR receiver can accept it.

Hey Luk do you have a link for that? I'm going to need that in the future. Thanks

Here ya go. It's actually SWI-X. I've done a few before and works pretty nice. Again, for the optimal location for the IR transmitter, install it in the line-of-sight. But I've seen it work just as well right under the aftermarket radio with a 1/8" hole through a dash kit that gets hot-glued inside behind.

its hard to find wired remotes on head units these days but some of the sony head units came out with wired remotes, and with a bit of stuffin around u could connectit to the steering controls or use the controls that came with it and somehow put them in ur steering wheel if ya got a plain old one
