You got 10's and 12's? Why?

Make sure if you are using all of those subs at once that you band-pass the 10's and the 12's at different frequencies or you could have some problems with cancelation.

He could run the 10's as midbass if they're suitable for that purpose. It would be a tall order to get those 10's upfront though.

Looks like a nice set up. I would have been fine with just the 2 12's though. However that's just me I don't like too much bass. Nice though

the 10's are more for added bass and the look (8's were too small and 12's needed too much airspace for the tire well).
the subs are each in a seperate sealed enclosure

I install I am going for is great sound with the ability to haul the stroller or my luggage in the trunk still. It will be competition level when I am done (at least good amature level...lol)

how is soundstream as a company now? I've been hearing that it's quality has been on a decline as of recently. Just like the new phoenix gold stuff.

if you like the "new" PG you would have LOVED the older PG (pg = pheonix gold)
I had 2 MS-125's pushing (12) Fosgate DVC 12's in 01. we were not a PG dealer at the time so I was shuned for my choises in equiptment.

I almost went with PG again but i don't really care for the looks of there stuff anymore

soundstream has been around AS long if not longer then PG...they died off a little in 04 but they have always had great equiptment in the affotable catagory and INSANE equiptment in the unique catagory

check out there site www.soundstream.com

i agree that the old PG equipment (or amps at least) were arguably the best quality amp at the time. I heard the new PG equipment are being shipped overseas to be made for cheap, not manufactured in the US like before. It seems like phoenix gold is more "for show" than quality....but thats just me.

As for soundstream, i remember them from long ago with their rubicon line and SPL subs. I never really remembered them as being a sound quality level company. I've come across to some really cheap and really impressive (according to specs) soundstream amps online. 4x80 watts, signal-to-noise ratio >110, thd <.05%, damping factor >500.....etc all for $230 (the van gogh series). To me, that sounds too good to be true. I talked to a guy at a Car Toys, and they said that soundstream also went overseas with their equipment.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not dissing soundstream, I'm just curious about their performance and wondering why they're so cheap. I was thinking of getting one if my xtant breaks (cheaper with better specs).

yeah I believe they are being made overseas, and if its garbage it will go right on Ebay, but I am taking a gamble on a name I used to trust.

Van goghs...I nearly went with those but i couldn't find the 4 channels I wanted, my subs ans seperates are van gogh series though

for 05 they are putting out the Piccaso series, very clean specs and looks but limited output sizes

I never really liked audiobahn. The subs that i heard in stores sounds too sloppy. And yeah, they are all about the bling. Their numbers sound too exagerated and they have about 25 different models. Thats too much models. They should just invest all the money into making about 3-5 quality subs. Their amps are also horrible and overrated (imo).
