I tried searching, couldn't find anything.
Anyone tried to burn all their Mp3s on DVD Cd and play it in their cd dash mp3 players in the car? I got Pioneer DEH- 5000MP, it says it only reads CD-R/RW, but I was wondering would the DVD work the same way?
Thanks

^ i've tried it. doesn't work. a DVD is a diffrent format overall from a CD. I've tried it on dvd players as well. Mp3 DVD's only work on dvd drives on the computer for the time being. maybe it will stay this way. No idea.
If this idea works. I think ipods will be the thing of the past. I duno 700mb worth of music is still good enough for me. This could be thrown into the suggestion box tho.

Yeah........no
there will be the same deal, instead of a 700mb limit youll have a 4.7gb and then a 9.4gb limit. Mp3 players go up to a 100gb now(with a hd swap) and the fact that you can just pull it out and go will keep them going. I love the fact that i can listen with headphones, plug it into spks around skool and then plug it into my HU in the cam and listen, i cant see why this would be a prob. Not to mention how much easier it is to find songs on a 5 inch LCD as opposed to the 1 line on the HU(most anyways)

iPods are well likely mostly for their size. While it may not be possible to put 100 gb in there, there are versions up to 60 gb I think, and that is more than enough for 99.9% of the population. Also like I said, that JVC DVD/CD now does Giga MP3 as they call it. I'll probably wait until next year and buy one that Alpine, Clarion, Pioneer or Eclipse makes.
The JVC is the first to read DVDR MP3, and WMA's....but I am hesitant...they're not bad in that price range, but I'd wait until the next model year and see what comes out
