Almost finished with my friends install in his 2005 Tacoma Prerunner Access cab. We used about 120-140-sq ft of eDead to FULLY sound deaden the cab. We used eDead v1.se, 3 to 5 layers in some spots of the front doors, 2 layers in the back doors, 2 layers on the floor 1-2 layers on the roof, two layers on the back wall. We also glued 1/2" thick foam on top of the edead in the doors directly behind the speakers. The truck is MUCH quieter now, and has absolutely no rattles anymore.
The component speakers installed in the front doors are DLS Iridium 6.2. The mounting plate is a Mr. Marv piece that is now available for ordering through him.
The amp for the speakers is th DLS A3 which sends the speakers an underated 150 watts rms X 2 @ 13.8 volts. We used a David navone 4 channel Line output converter wired to the back of the cd player to send rca signals to knukonceptz karma RCA kables(how they spell it lol). Routed those on the right side of the cabin to the DLS amps. The amps receive power from Knukoceptz 4 gauge power wire from a knukonceptz fused distribution block with digital volt meter. From the distribution block 1/0 gauge power wire from same manuf. was used to the Rockford Fosgate 1100 amp spiral cell battery from exide batteries. Knuconceptz battery terminals were used. Big 3 wire upgrade pending.
The subwoofer is the Image Dynamics IDMAX 12", the enclosure is a 1.5 cb ft sealed enclosure made by Marv. The subwoofer is being run off a DLS A3 amp which is underated for 870 watts rms X 1 @ 2 ohms.
Pics I got of the work done so far. Still waiting for subwoofer and enclosure to be shipped.

What do you guys think?

OMG the speakers are incredible. I had some infinity Kappa Perfects, and these speakers make them look like some 50 dollar pioneers. And the DLS isn't even broken in yet. Best speakers I have ever heard.
Hmm I was thinking about possibly picking these up this summer to try out and this makes me want to do it even more. My eDi's are by far the best speakers I have heard so far but like always I am never content and always need to try new stuff.

I want your truck and I want your good tastes in audio/noise dampening.
Good job man!

You will be happy with them. eddiem67 has a new pair for sale for 450 shipped.
I used to have Infinity Perfect components, didn't really like em. At low volumes, they were great but when you turned it up... way to bright tweeters, and lack midbass. I like my Bostons alot but I probably should have looked into DLS.
I also have the same set of Stanley screw drivers. They were like $3 at Walmart for a 6 piece set I think.

Alot lol, the upper line of their products anyways. The Iridiums retail for around 700 but they can be bought for around 500. The amps are also in that price range.
