USA In-dash nav system

I recently had an OEM in-dash nav system installed in my 2005 solara convertible. A couple of issues have cropped up. The voice only works to tell me to proceed to the planned route, then tells me when I've reached my destination, nothing in-between. I've checked the set up and it all seems fine.

The auto routing does not work. I can drive well off the planned route it does not re-route.

Any suggestions? My software version is 4.2.

Should have gotten the Eclipse I told you about lol, j/p. Don't know what to tell you but take it back, get a refund if possible, and then get the new Eclipse AVN5495 . Or i can get you the '04 model avn2454 for 1600.

Guys, if you're not going to be helpful, then don't bother to post. "Take it back" doesn't solve his problems. Since he has a convertible, having an OEM unit may be less likely for would-be thieves to take it when the top is down, because it's specific to Toyota only.

husker1223, have you contacted a dealer to see if they can help you? I'd imagine you've rebooted the software, perhaps those features need to get turned on somehow from some keystrokes on the display unit.

Hello

did you resolve your problems with auto-reroute? I also installed an oem nav unit in my 2005
SLE Convertible and I have no problems with mine but I am sure it was a big a pain to get
and have installed as yours was. We should share stories.
I just joined this forum and I am sorry that no one helped you.
The reason you do not get re-routed is that the speed sensor is not connected properly. You have to recheck the wire tap and match the vehicle speed in the diagnostics menu.

Please send me an e-mail- mji@telus.net
