Unhappy need some help with crossovers

Hello, I am planning to buy a pair of 3-way crossovers for my 4 speakers and 2 tweeters. if I have a 2 ch amp, 2 x 100w each channel, will it work with the crossovers? or I have to get 4 ch amp? how the power of speakers will be if after crossover?

It depends if you put x-over before or after amp. You'll need an amp for each freq if x-over is before amp. So 3 2ch amps or 1 6ch amp. If x-over after amp, you need to check to make sure the x-over can handle the power. Power doesn't change after the x-over. Usually its x-over after amp. Unless you're going really highend and looking best sound resolution.

so is it mean that if I use 2 ch amp connect the crossover, all the speaker out put wil be 100w each, or the total for the output will be 100w? if 100w for each, will it over load my amp?

You can't over load the amp with a x-over. You can overload the x-over and speaker with the amp. Its just like putting a 3 way speaker on one channel, you only have everything saperated.

That only works with passive x-overs.

Electronic x-overs go before the amp. Actually all processors (eq, x-over, line driver, etc..) go before the amp.

Yes, most people have passive one cause its cheaper. X-over before amp and you'll need an amp for each x-over range. For sure its much better setup and cost much more.
