PS2 help

were doin a custom set up in my car, the disk drive froma ps2 is being installed where the radio would go in my camry , gen 4 to be exact, and we need to put the rest of the ps2 somewhere else now the problem is there is a ribbon type of wire (flat coper color with about 30 mini wires in it that can only be gotten thru sony but sony will not let us purchase this part or will tell us what could be used to substitute this ribbon. we need to get a longer version of this ribbon so tht we cAN MOUNt the rest of the playstation behind the dashboard. I need any helpful suggestions, were thinkin of elimainating the ribbon and using high grade computer wire to susbstitute it but the problem with that is my car has a competition system going in and the wires may come loose because of high db levels

Go to a computer store with a ribbonwire from a BROKEN PS2, and have them get the length....most good shops can help. Me, I just went RF with the unit, easire and hid beter in the floor
