4th Generation How to by-pass the amp?...(Pics)

ok i opened it up the other day just to see what it looks like inside. i found the normal reciever wire along with what looks like the factory amp wires.. now where are these foam rapped wires and such everyones been talking about that are supposed to be in here.. i cant find them but i dont have pics here so u can help me locate the spot, or how i would go about by-passing this amp. i also took a pic of the wires on the back of my receiver just so u could see whats going on.. i do have a corolla wiring harness on the back and realize this needs to be changed but is there anything else i need to do before i can just hook it up..
P.S. is the last picture anything? just thought i should take a pic of it

Ok, first picture on top, see the upper right corner where there are 4 harnesses attached and clipped to a frame? That's it!!! You didn't have to take your automatic climate control out either. The harness from that radio looked like it came out of an older Honda.

So, by simply using the two-plug setup (the guys clipped on in back) the amp is bypassed? Whew, I thought some splicing and dicing was in order for my prj.

For the Gen3/Gen3.5, those premium plugs are typically wrapped in foam (perhaps to prevent water/moisture from getting through), but on the Gen4/Gen4.5, I couldn't remember if they were wrapped in foam, but I guess they're not as the picture showed.

haha yea im happy to be the guy who offers the pics on the inside.. not a problem.. soo ur telling my all i have to do is disconnect all three of those wires ( i think there is three as i saw, unless your including the reg. wire harness) but that seems pretty easy if thats what im supposed to do.. thx for the help. although now i feel kinda dumb for asking if it was that easy haha.. i was sitting staring at those wires and couldnt fiqure out if they were what i was looking for... oo by the way.. if i unplugged all of those and plugged back in the wire harness to the deck would that mean it would be playing without the amp? it sounded almost the same when i did that (just asking)

oo by the way the wiring harness on my reciever is one from a 98 corolla so i guess u could say its old.. but not honda.. oo and i knew i didnt need to take out the climate control i just figured it would give me a better look on the inside

but yea i think i should be ordering my stuff soon and should have a pretty good system going in the next couple of weeks i hope.. would u guys like me to post pics up again of it when im done.. ?

Just disconnect the two harnesses that are facing outside the cavity (towards the interior of the car), get the typical 2-plug harnesses adapter and mate it with the radio's. Leave the harness to the factory radio unplugged, now you've bypassed the OEM amp.

That harness picture from the radio is definitely not from a '98 Toyota, since the rear speakers (purple & green) wires are on a separate harness. It resembles a pre-'98 Honda harness. Anyway, good luck with the stuff.

Ok, you meant the harness that Crutchfield gave you, which is different than the harness shown in picture 3 of your first post.

You can get a Toyota pocket from BB or CC or any car audio store, and mount that under the radio, attached to the brackets.

Yea dude, the brackets that connect to the OEM head unit (and attached cd player, if thats the case) can connect a HU and pocket together, then to the frame.
