Snake-grabber tools are amazing for that. I got through an MR2's firewall by fishing through some bundle-cover, and it worked fine. Try not to poke holes in nothin though.

i paid a friend to do all the wiring setup for me

but from what i remember vaguely...
he ran the wires through the firewall like you said its really close tuck inside; he mention "near the steering column under the hood there is a hole"

i don't know if that is a correct name, but the wiring all looks good to me

hmm...

i looked in my hood and the rubber gromet seems like i might be able to sqeeze some wire through there.... not sure if that is the proper procedure.

I have another question.... theres a red cap on my battery how do i remove that? does it just come right off?

If you remove the front drivers side fender/wheel well liner, there should be a grommet against the firewall. Of course you have to jack up that corner of the car and remove the tire first.

My power wire runs down the drivers side of the car. RCAs on the passenger side of the car.

Never run the 2 together, as you could get interference (emi) radiating into the rcas from the power wire.

Cheapest way to go about it, is to use a 4 ga. crimp on ring terminal. Crimp the ring terminal onto the end of the wire, then connect it to + (positive) post of the battery.

I would crimp and solder the terminal. If you don't have a big enough crimper, you can use a vise, or phillips screw driver and a hammer.

The other option is to buy a aftermarket battery terminal. You can buy one from a car stereo shop for around $20.

If you look under the hood to the left of the stirring colum they have a rubber gasket lookin thing. I ran mine though there. You can also see it from under the dash. They have shit already goin though it so it isnt that hard to just fit it in or cut a small hole in it.

Thats where the snaky thing comes in, if you have one. Either that or like a coat hanger, so you know exactly where its coming out, and just tie to and pull through

i looked at that hole and it seems like the factory put some type of glue or seal up the hole in the gromet.

tried to do it under the tire well... i found the gromat but theres not area in the hood to goto the tire well.... it looks like i might have to drill.

i looked at the rubber gromat next to the steering colum i was wondering if i should cut a hole through the rubber thing and feed my wire through there. Not even sure if itll fit.

Is drilling a hole my best option?

thanks

if you still haven't solved it yet...

i'll try to do my best to take a picture tomorrow if i can and post it up here so you can see where the wire went...

if i don't have the picture available tomorrow; i apologize because of busyness and other priorities got in the way, but i'll do the best if i can...

but from wiring going from under the hood to inside the interior... that's the difficult part because i didn't catch what they did to my car, only to the part where they hid the wires under the door sills and went all the way back to my trunk.
