Rewire?

Just for kicks, and just because I'm going to have a load of spare time before the whole of my system shows up (the dash mount kit comes last. SAD!) I'm considering rewiring the FL FR RL RR speaker cables. Does the change in sound quality from adding some, perhaps 14ga wires to replace the superskinny factory wires justify the pain in the *ss it will take to try and get them from the dash to the speakers?
oh, and another thing that just struck me. My headlights dim even when I use the brakes, fairly noticeably (spelling?) Will my new setup stall the car ?

It couldn't hurt, I doubt you will notice a difference though. Definitely run new wiring if you decide to power the speakers with a stronger external amp.

If you're having dimming problems when you use the brakes I would think about testing your alternator and battery, you probably need a new alternator. Ater you get that taken care of and you still have dimming issues, like when the bass hits, look into doing the big 3 upgrade.
