Welcome to TN

Do a search and you'll find other posts about replacing the rear speakers.

Have you replaced the front ones yet? I'd do that before doing the rear. Hell, I prefer not to use any rear speakers.

If I was going with a surround sound system for a video system then I would get rear speakers, but for best imaging and soundstage, you want all the music coming from the front. For most it's a personal preference. Most of the people who have been into car audio for a while, eventually realize that it sounds better to have a high powered set of components in the front then say front and rear speakers with the same amount of power going to each speaker. But like I said it's personal preference. You might not like the way it sounds without rear speakers, that could be because you are used to having rear speakers.

My suggestion is before you spend more money on replacing the rear speakers, buy a decent set of components for the front, a high quality 2 channel amp for them and then see how you feel about rearfill. I'm pretty sure you will like the results better.

Oh yeah, I wasn't refering to not putting in subs in the rear, by all means put subs in the rear, I was refering to mid and highs in the back.
