USA Installing XM Commander; Need Wiring Help

I'm installing a XM Commander unit in my 05 Camry. The XM installation instructions has me connecting two power leads ... the red to accessory power and the yellow to vehicle battery. Has anyone had expereince with this installation? I want to piggyback off of the fuse panel under the dash. What circuits should I tap?

From what i hear, piggybacking is not the most intelligent thing to do, unless you're using a idle component like the rear defrost or something... or you have triple fuses, one for the OEM component, one for the new device, and one that is the sum of the two, or something.

It will be a small current draw. Both constant and switched power are both available at the clock or radio connectors.

Thanks so far. My intention is to use mini blade fuses with a pigtail that will allow me to use the power in the circuit but not the fuse it's self. I will use in-line fuses for the Commander. In my newbie "Ness" I'm not sure what is switched and what is constant. I assume the directions to connect one lead to the battery is for constant power supply.

Get one of the clear plastic 12 volt test lamps, with ground lead and bulb inside handle to indicate voltage present. (Auto-Parts Store)

The fuses may not be needed as the circuits are fused already.

Do NOT use fuse taps, as that will only cause more problems if they ever become loose. Do it right by stripping the actual wires and connect them that way.
