Who can step up for pioneer?

I just wanna hear some thoughts on pioneer car audio...

Right now i have an alpine head unit ( i believe a 7894) and then a kicker kx600.1 amp hooked up to a solobarick 12" l5 sub... the sub pounds like a mother and the headunit is excellent...

I am getting a new car however and it comes with a pioneer head unit (eventually i want to get a pioneer in dash DVD unit), all new pioneer components and 6X9's on the inside, and a pioneer CD changer... I am trying to make this car an overall go and show car, and i want to keep my themes flowing well... i am looking at selling my alpine and kicker stuff, instead of transfering it into the new car, and getting a 10" pioneer primier sub (rated 600W RMS DVC 4 ohms dropped down to 2 ohms) and a pioneer amp to match ( 600 watts RMS @ 2 ohms)

My question is will i enjoy my bumpin bass? The kicker amp came with over 700W RMS on the birth sheet, and the sub handles every ounce of it, i read online that pioneer has gotten lots of props in the SPL department, and that is what i want, i am not as much SQ as SPL...

Who has heard them, who has done business with them, i will appreciate it all

btw, eBay auctions...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...757401718&rd=1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...756319625&rd=1

PS this shit is cheaper than my kicker stuff too... i can sell my used kicker stuff and alpine unit, and probably have money left over

ive never heard their subs, but i absoluly hate everything else they make.

They're headunits sound like crap, i hate all the extra preset eq settings they put in there that sound horid, id rather beable to tune my own thank you.

They're 6x9's blow up under anysort of load. and the fact that they still push damn 4 and 5 way speakers anoys the crap out of me.

Pioneer is just the APC of the car audio world.

Granted i probably would give my right nut for a indash DVD nav system

well that statement is just my opinion.

Pioneer is the best you can buy...at best buy.

why dont you go for a all alpine or all kicker system? alpine stuff sounds good, kicker stuff sounds good, and i can vouche for their reliablity, ive had the k675.2 components and k693 6x9s and i play the crap out of them and they still sound as fresh as when they were new. both of those sets can be had on ebay for about $100 each.

you my friend are retarted

why the fuck do you think they have been around WAY longer than your rockford or kicker or Audiobahn or whatever the fuck you buy. yeah they have custom presets along with VERY COMMONLY USED factory presets on the headunits so you can tune it yours damn self duh. And show me a 5 way speaker. and if thier shit annoys you dont buy it.

Nate, Pioneer Electronics is an exeptional company especially with their headunits and Premier line of subs and amplifiers. Ask anyone who has a high end pioneer or pioneer premier receiver adn they will tell you they love it, my Premier 860 is awesome. Their 2000 and 5000 watt premier subs are spl monsters. And definately check out there NEW line of Premier amplifiers after they discontinued their old line, which i hate that they did it. I will always be huge fans of Jl Audio and Pioneer as they seem to offer quality products and always underrate thier amps.

id stick to kicker. not only does it look nicer, but its more quality in my honest noob opinion.

if money is no object then there is obviously much better brands than kicker, but if all you want is spl why dont you get the S12L7? it handles 1500 watts max as well.

a buddy of mine is about to get a mtx 1501d to power two S12L7's. but kicker has a 1250.1 amp which would work damn well with those subs. or even S10L7's. just make sure and get the 2004 models cause the appearance just changed and you dont wanna show an 'old' style sub lol.

For the money Pioneer headunits are a pretty good buy. The Premier DEH-P860mp is a killer cd player, very good sound quality. It's got a 13 band eq, 24 bit burr-brown d/a convertor, etc, check out the specs http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...etailComponent

The P9 combo is incredible of course too.

The A/V is good, speakers, the Rev series speakers are pretty good for the money. But if you want to go components, there are alot better out there. The amps are ok for the money, but again, better stuff can be bought for not much more. Same with the subs, much better out there.

If you want to go with a system with just one brand, then look into Alpine or Eclipse to cover everything. Eclipse Titanium subs are monsters and puts any sub Alpine has down. So keep that in mind if you're going to go that route.

I would just go with different manufactures for each of the components of the sound system, for best results.

And you don't have to sacrifice good sound quality for louder bass. Try to get the best of both worlds. I have a thing for the Image Dynamics IDMAX, One of the best subs I've heard, gets incredibly loud too. Can handle 1000 watts rms. Other good subs that get loud and sound good doing it- JL 13W7, RE XXX, Adire Brahma, Ascendent Avalanche.

What's your budget for eveything?

wow, that was brutal and way rude. excuse me for having an opinion.

I personally havent had good experiences with their products, and im not willing to spend big dollars on their "premium" stuff when there are other companies that sell much better, and are actually recogonized as being highend equipment.
