Audiobahn system question

So a friend of mine decided to buy two audiobahn 12's (AW1206T) off of ebay.

I went over today to take a look because I told him i could help him with amp decisions and installation an shit. I know enough about installing amps and subs but im having some issues.

First off, they're 1100 RMS! So i need to know if he should try to get two amps or one?

Secondly, wiring them would seem like a serious job. I think the box said that they were 2 and 8 ohm subs.(like they could go both ways) The subs also have 8 terminals each, two sets of 4 terminals (would this be something like dual two ohm?)

How would i go about wiring these subs whether 1 or 2 amps?

Their dual (dvc) 4 ohm subs.

If you wire each sub by itself you get 2 ohms (coils in parallel) or 8 ohms (series).

Wiring the 2 subs together gets more complicated.

Parallel parallel = 1 ohm
Parallel series = 4 ohms
Series parallel = 4 ohms
Series series = 16 ohms

If you use 2 amps run one sub off each amp at 2 ohm mono.

And if you use 1 amp, wire the subs together for 1 ohm or 4 ohm. If you wire them for 1 ohm, make sure the amp is stable at 1 ohm.
