Canada Grounding trouble

Hello, I'm trying to install an amp in my trunk (a 96 Corolla). I'm having a hard time finding a place to attach the ground wire. It seems as though I get conductivity with a couple of screws by the taillights, but when I actually screw them in with the wire, it doesn't seem to work. (plus these screws are far from the amp.) Any suggestions as to where the best place to ground is???

Chris

Try going under the carpet and just drill a hole somewhere safe, scrape off all the paint and screw it down or you could use a grounding terminal block like i did and then screw that down.

Yes make a hole sand down to bare metel and bolt it on with nut and bolt make the hole same size as the negative connector from amp you can make a hole any where just make sure you can hide it . This would be the best way to make sure you have good ground.
