Anyone install Satellite Radio on their 05 Taco?

Anyone have any experiences, suggestions or pics for installing a Satellite radio in their O5 Tacoma and how they did the wiring for the antenna? I heard Toyota will be offerring satellite radio with their new models in the near future...I missed it by a year.

not sure about 05 tacos but in most pickup trucks you just mount the antenna on the top rear of the cab and run the wire through the 3rd brake light

Installing the Satellite radio is easy. I am about to do it, but do you know how to the dash comes apart to get to the back of the radio. If anyone does please respond to this forum or email me at lancevogl@yahoo.com. I will then post how I installed it along with a sub/amp combo.

Someone took some pics and did a nice writeup on removing the factory stereo system in an 05 Tacoma over in the Tundra solutions forum. Check it out here http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...2&page=8&pp=15

You will need to create an account if you don't have one already.

I'd be real interested in seeing pics of your install..I'm especially interested in how/where you plan on running the satellite antenna wiring. I assume you are installing it on the roof and running it through the 3rd brake light...but then where?

www.installdr.com has quite a bit.

You can use a flathead screwdriver, or like a drywall scraper to pry off the climate control panel. It's pretty easy.
