Finished my audio project

just finished up my project and snapped a few pics.

setup:

Stock headunit
Navone Engineering 4 channel line output converter
Knukonceptz wiring (RCA's, power, ground, amp remote, fuse holder, terminals, speaker wire)
MTX Thunder 801d
Kicker SoloBaric S8L7
Custom built carpeted enclosure
gold plated terminal cup

anyway i had never installed car audio before, nor had i built an enclosure or done any of this crap. im no good with wiring or carpentry or ANYTHING. basically i know how to remove interior trim panels and thats about it. it took me 2-3 days at a moderate pace to finish the project. all in all i am very satisfied with the finished project. everyone who has seen it says i did an amazing job.

thanks a lot to cam!! without you the LOC would have been a bitch.

anyway, heres a pic, more on my cardomain page.

Not bad, the amp fit's nicely there. Only thing I would do different is maybe drill a hole in the plastic tray it's mounted in and run the wires behind the plastic tray. Have the hole right in front of the right side of the amp, so the wire's look more organized.

How does it sound?

it sounds nice. actually its a little too much bass considering the rest of the system is stock. the bass drowns out the mids and highs.

i really want to add a set of front speakers ASAP. i am wondering if i should add component speakers or just get a set of coaxials and amp them.

basically what i want is more bass and crips highs that can keep up with the lows.

whats your take cam? i want some power to match the bass. the more the merrier. if i get enough power to where the mids and highs overpower the bass then i will be 'forced' to get another S8L7 which would be just perfect hehehehe

i want the best/loudest speakers and amp for the least dough. any ideas? only front speakers.

6x9? 6.5"?

Go components. The Alpine SPX-177R is a good component set for not too much money. You can get a edi6500s and nine.2 combo for around 400 - 450 from www.edesignaudio.com
