'9 Tacoma needs speakers
What do you guys use for tools to remove the door panels.....? I need to get at the speakers. I've got a 96 Tacoma Ext cab 4wd. My Fr left speaker has quit for some time, and my Fr right speaker is only working at what sounds like half volume. I just removed the factory am/fm cassette deck since the sound was terrible and installed a Sony CDX-F5505X CD receiver. The Fr speakers still do not work. My back speakers are working fine. There are Kicker 5-1/4 2-ways installed in both Fr & Rr. Surely the old factory cassette deck wouldn't have blown the Fr speakers...? I've had these same speakers in 2 previous vehicles with an amp on them with no problems. If their blown, i'm thinking about getting 6-1/2" Kickers and installing them in the back, then taking the good 5-1/4 Kickers from the back and installing them in the Front.
Any help or advice appreciated......
