Picking a new Amp

Ok, since my kicker amp is a peice of shit, i need something to replace it. I have a budget of about $200 and Im not looking for anything insane and competition quality, i just need something to drive 2 12"s at about 400-500rms @2ohms. So far all ive really seen in that price range is a Sony XM-DS1600P5, and a Lanzar VIBE1800D.
Quote:
The Lanzar
# 1 x 400 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms
# 1 x 800 Watts Max at 2 Ohms
# 1 x 1200 Watts Max at 1.3 Ohms Bridged
# Class-D Design
# Remote Subwoofer Bass Control
# Mono Block Subwoofer Amplifier
# 1 Ohm Stereo Stable
# MOSFET Power Supply
# PMW (Pulse-Width-Modulation) System
# Glass Epoxy PCB w/SMD Technology
# Gold RCA Inputs
# Custom Terminal Block for Speaker Connection
# Thermal, Overload & Short Protection
# Variable Subsonic Filter (15Hz-40Hz, 24dB/Octave)
# Variable Lowpass Filter (20Hz-250Hz, 24dB/Octave)
# Phase Control 0~180°
# Input Impedance: 10k Ohms
# Heavy Duty Power Coated Heat sink
# Frequency Response: 15 Hz-35 kHz
# S/N Ratio: 90 dB
Quote:
The Sony
500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
900 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms (wire subs in parallel for a 2-ohm load)
Class D design
Variable low-pass crossover (50-300 Hz at 12 dB per octave)
Speaker- and preamp-level inputs
Preamp outputs
Variable bass boost (0-10 dB at 40 Hz)
Subsonic filter (removes inaudible extreme low frequencies for cleaner performance)
Remote bass control
Requires 4-gauge power and ground cables ? wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
Gold-plated connectors
13-11/16W x 2-1/4H x 13-3/8D
Im familiar with the sony amps, and i like them, but ive never heard anything about Lanzar, can anyone shed some light on their quality? Im looking for a good mix between SQ and SPL, and i may be upgrading my subwoofers in the next few months, possibly either some IDMAX, Infinity Perfects, or Kicker CompVR's.

hey what id do is check out the local pawn shops they always have stuff some of it is bound to be junk but sometimes you'll see phonix gold, fosagate, memphis, all kinds of mid to high grade stuff, just do your homework and either listen to it before or make sure they have a good return policy for defective product.

Hifonics, Phoenix Gold trantrum or a JBL will do the job.
