Inform people that he enjoys his Fosgate speakers and give a little first hand information on them. In the future if someone is trying to decide whether to get Fosgate's or not and they search, they'll bring up a thread like this and get some info on them like having great highs but not much bass from someone who has actually tried them.

They sound good for about 2-3 weeks, then they blow up, so save your receipt and the old speakers so you can have something to listen to when you have to send them in for replacements every month.

Harsh ^
Do they tear/blow under stress, or is it deterioration due to faulty manufacturing?

not sure, but ive owned 3 sets of rockford speakers, (2 were given to me and i bought the 3rd) and they all sounded horrible after about 2-3 weeks of playing. they just sound really distorted at any volume. sound great at first, but then crap out. I had the 4", 3.5"s and 6x9's
